Uncapped Campaigns
What does it do?
Uncapped Campaigns allows a user to deliver an unlimited amount of leads to a campaign. This allows users to not have to set a cap on the number of leads that need to be delivered on a campaign.
*Once a campaign is set to be uncapped it cannot be changed to be a capped campaign. If the user wants to change the campaign to capped they will have to create a new campaign
When assigning publishers to an uncapped campaign this user will have the choice to either set the publisher to Capped or Uncapped.
For example, a user can create an uncapped campaign but can then assign a publisher to the campaign with a capped or uncapped amount and have the option to change this freely once assigned to the campaign.
E.g. this can be used if the client wants to continue delivery leads indefinitely.
Action | Description | Acceptance Criteria | |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Set uncapped number of leads for a Campaign | When creating campaign the user is given the option to choose if Uncapped Campaign is set to Yes or No | Once a campaign is created with this setting the campaign will have an unlimited cap amount |
2 | Set Publisher caps to uncapped | When assigning a publisher the user can set a capped or uncapped amount | Once a publisher is assigned to a campaign the user has the option to set the a capped or uncapped amount, additionally the user can go in and change this option if they choose too. |
What use case(s) does this apply to?
CONTENT SYNDICATION
Why would clients find this useful?
This gives the customer the option to manage different payout metrics via the platform.
With the assigning of the publisher, this is helpful as they would have the flexibility to assign them as capped or uncapped depending on the agreed payout metric they would like to use eg CPL.
Key Talking Points
Typically this setting would be used if a customer has been given a set budget within a time period without a lead amount.
For instance this they would be given a budget of £10,000 to deliver over a Calander Quarter eg Q1. The customer they are sending leads to will be like just send me as many as you can over that period.
Other scenarios would be in a B2C environment such as affiliate marketing (incentive-based traffic) etc such as signing up for a free gym membership.
In the market, this would be seen as Quantity over Quality in terms of leads data.
