Live Email
Briteverify
We use a 3rd Party API to conduct our Email Validation Check, they provider does a live ping of the email address to ensure that it is real.
Diving deeper into how this works exactly, we can break the process down into 3 simple steps, the 3rd party:
- Determines that the email address follows the standard syntax (e.g. contains an '@' symbol)
- Verifies the validity of email domain, to ensure that it can send and receive emails
- Connecting directly with the email server, the third party 'pings' the email server to ensure that the email address is actually on that server.
Our 3rd Party Provider technology works with all global ISP's and is constantly updated for changes in new and existing ISP's, it is 97%+ accurate and averages 0.5 seconds per verification
There are three statuses for the email addresses to be validated:
Valid: The email represents a real account/inbox available at the given domain
Invalid: Not a real email
Unknown: This could be a temporary status for domains having intermittent issues or a permanent issue for dead domains. Since we are not able to conclusively determine the result, we mark it as unknown
Accept All: These are domains that respond to every verification request in the affirmative, and therefore cannot be fully verified.
