Upon release, all leads will be sent at once. Using Scheduled Delivery, leads are scheduled to be delivered at different times and at different intervals. The schedule is configured using the ‘configuration’ widget available in the ‘Schedule’ column on the Scheduled Delivery page. This widget is the basis for both Campaign based Scheduled Delivery and Publisher based Scheduled Delivery and allows us to configure the schedule at various intervals as explained in: Schedule Configuration.
Scheduling of Leads
Scheduled Delivery can be broadly classified into 2 types:
Campaign based scheduled delivery and
Publisher based scheduled delivery.
The scheduled delivery type can be set by selecting the appropriate radio options available against ‘Type’ on the Scheduled Delivery page:
...
Scheduled Delivery: Campaign Type
When scheduled delivery is configured for Campaign type, the same schedule will apply for all publishers on the campaign. Any leads coming into the campaign will processed, valid leads will be held in the scheduler until the scheduled date and time. When the scheduled time is reached, all held leads will be sent at once. More information on campaign based scheduled delivery is available in: Campaign Type Schedule Configuration .
Scheduled Delivery: Publisher Type
When scheduled delivery is configured for Publisher type, different schedules will apply for different publishers on the campaign. Leads coming into the campaign will processed, valid leads will be held separately for the various publishers, the scheduled date and time configured for that publisher. When the scheduled time is reached, the leads held for that publisher will be sent. More information on publisher based scheduled delivery is available in: Publisher Type Schedule Configuration.
In both types of scheduled delivery, all scheduled leads will be sent at once at the scheduled hour unless the user marks them as undelivered and either reprocesses or flags them as valid to be sent again.
Scheduled Delivery and Batch processing
When batch integration is to be used with scheduled delivery, it should be ensured that the batch does not overlap with the scheduled time to be sent out. It is recommended that Batch integration is configured to run at least an hour after Schedulr dataset is fully processed.
If customers mark the leads as undelivered they will need to start the processing step again, marking them as Valid and send them again. This is existing platform processing functionality.
Scheduled Delivery and ‘Always Deliver’
It’s vital to understand that the existing functionality of ‘Always deliver’ will supersede the Scheduled Delivery configurations on a campaign. Any scheduled time Schedule configuration will be ignored and the lead batch will be delivered if 'Always deliver’ is set up .Using Scheduled Delivery, leads are scheduled to be delivered at different times and at different intervals. The schedule is configured using the ‘configuration’ widget available in the ‘Schedule’ column on the Scheduled Delivery page. This widget is the basis for both Campaign based Scheduled Delivery and Publisher based Scheduled Delivery and allows us to configure the schedule at various intervals as explained belowon a campaign.
